Where are the few, the saved, the warriors of the Cross at?

     I’m sure all every great American has watched this commercial where it advertises that “We are the few, the proud, the Marines.”

Well,  today we are going to blog a short blog today on where we Christians; warriors of the Cross, stand today.

Have you ever heard of the phrase “standing in the gap?”

Let’s look in Romans 15:30-33.

  • “Rom 15:30  Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;
  • Rom 15:31  That I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judaea; and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints;
  • Rom 15:32  That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed.
  • Rom 15:33  Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen” (KJV).

     Paul was asking, in laymen’s terms to stand in the gap for Him. “He asks them to “agonise”—that is the word, a reminder of the great agony in Gethsemane. The apostle felt that an agony alone was too bitter for him, and he therefore cries, “I beseech you,” etc” (Biblical Illustrator).

The church did as instructed.  They warred in Prayer; in the Holy Spirit, for:  The apostle’s request—that they would pray for him.

Especially for—

  1. His protection.
  2. The success of his mission.
  3. 3. For the love of the Spirit, wrought in us, exhibited to us.
  4. A prosperous journey to Rome. (J. Lyth, D. D.)
  5. What is the Lord trying to get us to do as warriors of the Cross?  As a Christian Counselor, I stand in the gap for the weak ones who have been violated, abused and used by those who harm them.  My goal is to pray for their healing; body, soul, and spirit.

    My goal is to agonize in deep prayer, by standing in the gap, as not only a Christian Counselor, but a Christian Warrior prayerfully fighting to protect our innocent while yet battling against the enemy,  who has taken over our churches today making it look like the mentality of the person who victimizes the innocent; by thinking that  “It’s all under the blood” comment is not just a cliche to get back behind the pulpit but has the obligation to see the sheep of the pasture are protected and not harmed; being the Holy Shepherd of the sheep whom God gave us to steward carefully and lovingly .

      My job is to call on the name of the Lord to protect the innocent and make all leaders in ministries wake up and smell the Holy Ghost Java to also realize the leadership in ministry is sacred and we need to Shine our Lights to the world instead of marking a RED X on  Christianity.

Be Blessed,

Pastorette Trish Martinez

Standing in the gap is a lot for one person to handle, however when you have fasted and prayed and put on the WHOLE armor of God anything is possible. I enjoyed reading this blog. I am looking forward to the next one. Thank you
