From Our Hearts

This is Pastor Trish and I wanted to let you all know what has been going on in Bishop Larry's and my lives.  God has changed our destination and location to pastor the Mt. Zion Church of God in Wooster, Ohio.  We are so excited to see what God has done, is doing and what is to come in our future.

I am looking forward to not only teaching others but also learning from those who have much wisdom in God.  We have been blessed to have been Pastors at Victory Van Wert Church of God for six years.  We believe that God has so much in store for these wonderful people; our other spiritual family.  We love you Victory, with all of our hearts and look forward to seeing what God is about to do for you faithful and prayerful family of God.  Bishop and I love you all.

I know this blog is different from the blog that I was to post. I will continue the "Culture of Silence" in my next blog.  I pray the promise that God inspired Jeremiah over all who read this.  In the book of Jeremiah 29:11 it states;
"11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope" (Jeremiah 29:11; NKJV).

Just remember this promise and live the best life possible for the kingdom of God and you will have much success in your life.

Until next time,

Pastorette Trish Martinez

September 23, 2024   What if / Even if: Which one are you?September 21, 2024What if or Even If? Which one are you?Hello everyone, I pray all is going well with you today. My name is Pastor Trish Martinez and my husband's name is Bishop Larry B. Martinez. We are ordained ministers through the Church of God Cleveland, Tn. My goal is to spread good news to whomever may receive it. I preached on Sunday concerning What if and Even if. I took the text from Luke 12:22-30 & Daniel 3:14-18.1. What if = Fear product of negativity*We find that the phrase “what If” inevitably leads to stress, panic and deteriorating health. *The way Jesus describes it in Luke 12:27 is simply, “Toil and spinning.” What a perfect picture of what happens when we’re dominated by worry. *The word for toil in Greek literally means to exhaust oneself doing wearisome work, and what does this look like? “Spinning around”. The idea is that you’re busy, but you’re not actually being productive. That is precisely what happens when we get caught up in worry and anxiety isn’t it? In today's world we find that we are more stressed out and worry is a major factor of most lives. We need to realize that if we live in the what if moments, we will live in fear and the Word of God tells us that, "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind" (2Timothy 1:7). God longs for us to walk on an 'Even if' trail of life full of faith. 2. Even if = Faith Product of PositivityIf you look in Daniel 3:14-18 we find that 1. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego walked in an 'Even if' faith walk. When they replied to the king saying, “King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.” 'Even if' I am burned into nothing, God is Great, and He will deliver us whether in this life or the other. Read the rest of the story of the deliverance of the three Hebrew children from the fiery furnace; while God walked in the fire with them.Now, Even if I go through the biggest trial in my life I must live in 'Even If' Faith! No matter what, God is with us to take care of our 'what if’ fears and turn them into our even if faith. Please let us know your experience of 'What if' & 'Even if' scenerios in your lives that could possibly encourage us on our daily walk with the King of Kings. Father, we thank you Lord for the opportunity to live and walk the Even if Faith walk. I pray that you would give strength, encouragement and wisdom as those who read this as they too walk this Even if Faith walk too.In Christ, Pastorette Trish Martinez Please e-mail comment through Contact page.
